What I’ve been reading…

I have been reading an auto-biography about a local comedian from Dudley called Lenny Henry. I went to see him in the autumn and had his book for Christmas. I have now begun to read ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’ which is based on a true story about the war.

I have also been reading lots and lots of articles for school about exciting planning ideas and artists which I would like the children at Alder Coppice to learn about!

What I’ve been watching…

I have watched the entire series of ‘Stranger Things’ with my family and lots of films.  We have watched ‘Modern Family’ as well.

What I’ve been listening to…

I have been listening to lots of music and my children as they have their lessons at home. I have enjoyed hearing the whirl of the mixer as another cake is made. I have listened to two happy birthdays being sung, hockey balls being hit in the garden, the BBQ being lit, keyboards being tapped and kettles being boiled. I have listened to my neighbour playing the accordion as we had a distanced VE day street party!

Something new I have done…

Something new which we have enjoyed has been Zoom quiz nights! My children play hockey and their club have been raising money for different charities by having quiz nights. The best bonus was that we have won one of these- we are a bit competitive at times and luckily we each have different categories which we are good at!
